SCHEDULE: January 12 – March 11. 10 Weeks / 18 Sessions / 90 min each
TOTAL COST: $325. Acceptable forms of payment: Online credit card; contact FWH for cash, check, or Venmo payments.
TRAINING TIMES: Tuesday/Thursday: 3:30 – 5:00pm
MIN/MAX CAPACITY: FWH reserves the right to cancel a class prior to the start date if registration does not meet the minimum participation requirements. Those already registered will have the opportunity to transfer to another class or service, or, receive a full refund.
STRENGTH & CONDITIONING WORKOUT (40 – 50 minutes)
- Workouts will utilize TRX Suspension Straps and other simple modalities. The workout is fun, inclusive, and individualized to help each teen feel strong and confident, no matter their fitness level. In addition to physical benefits, teens will experience exercise as a means for mental clarity, emotional regulation, and stress management.
MIND & BODY MAT SESSION (30 – 40 minutes)
- Simple stretch postures are designed to invite awareness, improve self-regulation and reduce stress and anxiety. Breath work and mindfulness practices will also be utilized. *Each session will include a time for journal reflection.
FWH Connect is a program designed to empower teens through movement, connection, and self-understanding. At the conclusion of each term, teens should 1) feel strong and confident in their bodies and 2) connect with their physical, mental, and emotional selves through improved awareness, regulation, and compassion. FWH does not discriminate by age, race, gender or belief.
The following weekly topics will serve as a guide for reflection and exploration: self-worth, stress, fear, anxiety, personal narrative, gratitude, awareness, self-regulation, and mindfulness.
